We have heard reports on the Nexus S "Android 2.3.3 update adds the yellow color screen, and also wash the colors, but according to Google Ry Guy said that the patch is intended to adjust the color temperature display This quote entire forum support from Google.:
"With its new OTA is complete, you may notice a slight difference in the number of colors displayed in the Nexus Nexus S. For S, we have adjusted the color temperature values to reflect more accurately the dark colors in all the light levels. The user interface be gingerbread. dark, we find that the colors are not as accurate when the device is used to lower light levels, for example, some users have reported that the initial color temperature takes too high for darker shades of gray with a reddish color with the temperature again, is no longer the case. "
So while this tweak screen is well intentioned, it seems that many players on both the XDA-Developers and are not too happy. Being curious geeks than we are, we went ahead and manually updated our own Nexus S (and by the way, be sure to suit your build number with appropriate patches). As you can see in our comparison photos (shot with the same manual settings of the camera and screen brightness at medium), color temperature new overall no doubt subtly warmer, although dimmer light no longer suffers from the color red above. Interestingly, we did approve this amendment, and Super AMOLED is certainly not look washed out to us, we do not see any dithering noise that some have reported. It can not be alone. Well, there's only one way to help solve this mystery: If you happen to be a guy Nexus S owner who has applied this update, why not chime in here?
